After reading a blog post from Dawn at Change is H After reading a blog post from Dawn at Change is Hard about her visit to the Memorial Poppy Field near Fennville, Michigan, I decided to explore and go off the beaten path on my drive this morning to our lake house in Grayling. I almost forgot and caught myself and pulled off I-96. It was amazing. The poppy field is dedicated to two individuals from the local area. I can only imagine what it looked like in its prime. #summer #poppies #memorial #exploring

It’s Spring Break 2026 and I found the perfect sig It’s Spring Break 2026 and I found the perfect sign for the week! Full disclosure, I discovered it twenty-four years go when my family and I spent Spring Break 2002 with my in-laws in Key Colony Beach. We’ve been back many times and it is always relaxing to slow down, read a book, watch the sunrise, the sunset or both. More importantly it’s a perfect place to reset for last few days - we have 37 school days, but I’m not counting - of the school year. #springbreak2026 #6thgrade #springreset
