W^2 or W squared for Wordless Wednesday, April 9, 2025

It is Wednesday afternoon, and I am home after a week-long vacation by the ocean for spring break. It was great to get away with my wife and another couple whom we know very well.
We stayed in the same place we have stayed for the past several years; the only year we have missed in the past decade was the Covid spring break when we went to the lake instead.
One of the things I most enjoy is watching the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. We have favorite spots to see the sunset – I am partial to seeing the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico at the Seven Mile Bridge. Friday night was the only night I watched the sunset, and it did not disappoint.

Today was a great day, it was an amazing day, in fact. I knew it the moment my feet hit the floor early this morning, yet even this late in the day there is room for amazingness. I have felt is all day long. I jumped in, jumped out, and have seized the day. Making the Days Count, one day at a time, getting back in the routine of life after a week away.
How are you making your days count?
What a marvellous sunset to end your day with.
I love sunsets. At home when the sun goes down for the day, I don’t see it for all of the trees around me, but when I do get an open shot, I savor it. Peace.
You really can’t beat a good sunset (or sunrise). How lovely to be surrounded by trees.
No you cannot and Thank you. The backyard maples are budding out and beginning to drop their pollen. When they are fully leafed out, they will shade the back of the house from the afternoon sun keeping our home cool into the evening. Spring is here!
It really is! Just the last couple of days have proved it properly. New leaves, blossom, lambs … it’s all happening!
It looks absolutely beautiful and so peaceful.
Last weekend when we up at the lake, I missed it, but I captured the color post sunset. It was amazing. Thank you for stopping in.
Oh, that getting back to a routine is hard but I love your one day at a time approach and amazing attitude.
Absolutely stunning pictures! So glad you got away!
Yes, it was good to get away. Three weeks later I get reminders of what a wonderful time we had. It’s funny about the theme of threes, isn’t it? Three days, three months, three years… oh my. Reminds me of Mr. Wright, my high school English teacher, who we read ‘Old man and the Sea’ with in junior (third year). I learned so much from him and I never realized it until a few years ago. I think, may be he knew. Stay well and thrive in the light!
