This week’s sign is from the ice cream shop I pass on the way to the lake and along the way home. Friday night it was well past closing time when I stopped to admire the message.

Summer season is the high season along the lake and there are few folks on the lane this weekend. Yesterday, I saw a few walkers and a neighbor couple, both of whom I watched grow up, are here with their newborn – their first. It’s hard to believe, but I am the first of three generations that come here now.
I didn’t make it to that ice cream shop this year, maybe I will next year. It all depends on if I get there in time or if the line isn’t too long and I can spare a stop along my way.
It’s Sunday and I’ll be looking for a new sign today but there are signs all around that fall is in full bloom, the weather has a chill in the air and the forecast promises sunshine later in the day. So, I’d better jump up, jump in and seize the day. Making the days Count, one day at a time, making time to take in the season.
How is the fall season looking where you are?
Hi. Fall is looking good here in southeast Pennsylvania. Many trees are showing off their changing colors. Take care.

I am looking at my backyard and at the moment and there are plenty of green leaves on the trees, except one which is a brilliant kaleidoscope of color. It’s nippy and fall is here. Next week we fall back and I don’t think I am ready for it, yet. But ready or not here it comes. Thanks for stopping in and keep making those days count.
Summer went by way too fast, as usual. Even when we had an extended really warm fall that you could imagine as a summer extension if you squinted. I didn’t make it to the Shiawasee Nature Preserve this year, though I kept thinking I would. But I DID do other fun stuff, so all is not lost. And it’s still nice out, so sort trips might still be in store for us Michiganders.
We are Up North for a work weekend and got a surprise that our daughter had done A LOT of the work before we arrived. Headed home later today and I never look forward to the drive home! The second half of October will be busy with school and family things.
I live in southern Rhode Island, so October is generally more mild. We also have a downtown ice cream shop that stays open a bit longer than yours. You should have seen the line of people waiting to order at the window last night at 8:00pm.
Ice cream shops do that! When we were in Wales this summer, we heard about an ice cream shop and walked back to it only to find it closed at 6 PM! I have passed this shop many a time and seen a long line to get a Tasty Treat. The fall has taken a cool turn and it feels wonderful, especially at night. Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the fall.
There are signs all around that it’s fall – that’s so true. Love that you caught this sign that marks the end of the summer! Have a great week, Clay!
Thanks Wynne, I went for a walk yesterday and oohed and ached at the colors. They are fantastic. We are enjoying a bit of cooler weather and it is nice sleeping weather. Heading home today and I’ll be listening and watching tonight’s game – I am hoping for good baseball. Enjoy the week ahead!
