SoTW – eggs

I found this week’s sign on the way home Friday. It had been a long week. It had rained Thursday and the forecast for the weekend was more rain. Our backyard had gone from lush to parched since the last real rain in late July and the hard work of re-growing grass in the spring was in jeopardy.

I stayed at school late Friday afternoon to update grades and look over some student work before returning it. On my way home, I kept my eyes open for the usual signs and came up empty. I decided to check one more sign before turning towards home and mowing the lawn before the rain arrived.

And my detour was rewarded!

I love eggs and hardboiled are an excellent edition to a salad or on their own as a snack – they can’t be beaten.

It is Sunday and it’s the day of the week which always gets away from me – too many good things get in the way of great things.

I am going to get started on my Sunday and start with a few great things – exercise, planning, and a little clean up at my desk. So, I’d better jump up, jump in, and seize the day. Making the Days Count, one day at a time making time to focus on the BIG ROCKS of life.

How are you going to spend your Sunday? Or how did you spend it?

  1. Oh groan groan at that sign! It certainly raised a smile! Don’t you worry about your lawns. Ours couldn’t have been more dead and bleached here in the UK. It took only one or two rain storms to have them as lush as I can ever remember them. Grass is so resilient!

  2. Good sign! I’m doing laptop cleanup. I have way too many pictures! So I’m filing and sorting. Kind of like desk cleanup but since I’m retired I don’t have a desk anymore. THANK GOODNESS! Oh….I hope you have a great week with your kids this coming week and that next weekend is wonderful too!

Thanks for visiting MtDC. How are YOU Making YOUR Days Count?
