It’s been a busy week. But all of my weeks during the school year are pretty busy.
It’s fall and cooler weather has finally arrived. Fall arrived late last week when we could open the windows and sleep through the night with temperatures diving down into the upper 40s.
It started raining Wednesday morning and it didn’t stop until early Friday morning. We got almost 3 inches of rain over the two days. It was great for the grass seed that I had planted in the backyard, but it put a damper on outdoor activities. Even the dog spent less time outside.
Yesterday, I stayed late after school and entered grades for the last couple of weeks. It felt good to get that off my list.
I took my Friday night detour on the way home so I could check out the real estate sign on Roosevelt Road. I was NOT disappointed.

I’m not a pumpkin spice person so I found this week sign hilarious.
I do like my coffee, but I can do without the pumpkin spice.
Speaking of pumpkins, the family and the grandies are headed west this afternoon to our pumpkin farm in the country. It’s always a relaxing afternoon and I look forward to it. A photo from last year.. to prime the pumpkin hunt. I think we’ll find them.

I’m gonna try not to be spicy today and just enjoy the day. So I better get started and jump up, jump in, and seize the day. Making the Days COUNT one day at a time, looking for good things and sometimes finding them.
How do you like your coffee?
Making today count with a little walk in the park (we’ve gone to a different park each day to see the various amazing color displays in different settings) and going to get pumpkins and trying a new recipe tonight. I confess I put peppermint mocha creamer in my morning coffee, and the occasional pumpkin spice.
Coffee should never be allowed anywhere near any of those weird and wonderful additions! But you have cornered the market in spotting terrible puns … long may it continue … Happy weekend!
