It is Thanksgiving Break, and we broke away to the lake for a weekend and a couple of days. B decorated the Christmas tree Monday evening while I conducted parent conferences from the loft overlooking the tree. Tuesday morning, I captured the tree, and the day, in all its splendor and light before we broke camp and returned home to spend Thanksgiving at home wit h family.
It is Wednesday, November 24th and one month from today, it will be Christmas eve, may the Christmas season bring the brightness of light into your life. Let it shine. Making the Days Count, one day at a time, enjoying the brightness of a new day and letting my light shine.
In what ways will your line shine?
Enjoying that Christmas ornament pic! Hoping you had a safe and fun holiday break 🙂 the lake sounded pretty sweet! Hope your year is off to a good start sending good vibrations and salutations:)
Happy Thanksgiving. Being at the lake must be wonderful. I’m taking Thanksgiving dinner down to my aunt in AA. She’s recovering from surgery, and is usually the one who makes dinner for the family. This time I’m taking ingredients and some stuff I cooked yesteray, and making her Thanksgiving. My brother flew in last night from Charlotte, she doesn’t know he’s coming. Enjoy your days at the lake! I still contend your students are so lucky to have you as their teacher!
Thank you. and I am luck to have my students. Their curiosity and excitement keep me young! We broke camp and headed home Tuesday afternoon – I would have loved a Michigan Thanksgiving but an Illinois Thanksgiving and an attempted game of ‘Wingspan’ made our holiday complete. I hope your re-union and Thanksgiving was amazing! Stay safe and well. Peace.
Other than making Christmas cake and pudding, I haven’t done anything yet. It has to be well into December before I can get in the mood! But that’s OK – each to his or her own!
I saw your post last weekend about making Christmas pudding and thought for a moment what fun it would be to do make. Then I sat down, looked at my to do list, and the thought disappeared. Today we have Christmas lights and decorations to work on and it is going to be an amazing day.
It sounds it! We’re dealing with a wind and a half – up to 100 mph, though luckily not quite as bad as that here. Hunkering down all the same! Have a great weekend!
