W^2 – two for the price of one

W^2 or W squared for Wordless Wednesday, January 19, 2022

This week for my W^2 post, I am offering two for the price of one. Sunday afternoon Fern and I took a hike at a favorite hiking spot. It was sunny and bright, but all that changed. By the time fern and I had finished, clouds had rolled in, and it was a typical January day in the Midwest. A tale of a winter walk.

“People don’t notice whether it’s winter or summer when they’re happy.” Anton Chekhov

We had a fabulous hike, and it was good to move cautiously along the snowy and icy path.

Today is gonna be an awesome day, I know it and I can feel it, so I’d better jump up, jump in, and seize the day. Making the Days Count, one day at a time, working on moving forward, always.

How is your January going?

    1. Thank you. I’ve been pushing off replying with the thought that I’d get to it when I had a block of time and the time never arrived. We’ve been blessed this winter with some amazingly clear skies, more than I remember, but it could be I am looking up and that’s what makes the difference. So I am going to keep looking up, stay well. Peace.

  1. Actually this has been the mildest January I’ve experienced in southern Rhode Island in 35 years of living here. We’ve had one snowfall that left 3 inches of snow, and was gone after a day. Today it’s sunny and in the 40’s.

    1. I’ve been thinking about you lately, the Wordle Challenge and all. We had a mild winter as well, less snow than normal, but we did have a couple of cold snaps with super cold temps. I am glad winter is on its way out and spring is easing in. ThaNk you for stopping in and stay well. Peace.

    1. Patricia, thank you for the encouragement and stopping by. I haven’t been back to that forest preserve since our walk that day. I discovered they were doing some invasive plant removal that has changed the entire look of the forest preserve and I am looking forward to our next walk – maybe next weekend. It is always good to get out and walk in the woods and prairie. Enjoy the spring and stay safe. Peace.

Thanks for visiting MtDC. How are YOU Making YOUR Days Count?
