W^2 – patience

W^2 or W squared for Wordless Wednesday, December 23, 2020

a patient Fern waiting for her master in the sunlight, McDowell Grove Forest Preserve, Naperville, IL. Sunday, December 20, 2020 11:16 AM

4.69 miles on a Sunday late morning hike, we were less than a half a mile in, Fern was still patient while I snapped a photo or two. Making the Days Count, patiently, one day at a time.

It has been a challenging year, but I’ve been patient, have you?

    1. She’s a hunting breed, but we aren’t hunters…we found our first Brittany as a fluke and our second as a revolt…. we found them and they’ve found us. There is light in the world and we must follow it. Peace on Earth.

  1. I’ve tried. At first it was quite easy, but as the months go by, and winter advances, it’s harder. Still, I know how lucky we are compared with many, and I try to remember that. A very happy Christmas to you and your family, and let’s hope for a better 2021.

    1. I am teaching my sixth graders about light. our most recent lesson was about shadows. Shadows are an absence of light, our eyes have ‘learned’ that the dark area is a shadow. I am reminded that there is light in the world and we must follow it. Peace on Earth.
