When I saw this week’s sign, I laughed out loud! A true dad joke for this week’s sign of the week.
It’s also soda pressing that summer is over. Last week at home we had heat warnings every day and after school athletics were cancelled all week long with real feel temperatures in the hundreds.
I skipped the Friday night traffic and drove to lake house Saturday morning and the further east and north I drove, the more pleasant the temperatures got. This morning the air temperature was 48F/9C and the high today is forecast for the mid-seventies. Perfect for working outdoors.
It’s Labor Day weekend and we are at the lake for our annual tradition of closing the summer portion of the lake house. Boats out of the water – check, boat lifts out of the water – 4/5, and end of the season yard work started.
Last night I was able to catch sunshine on my shoulders, it made me feel happy.
Today is going to be a great day, if I can only trust it. So, I’d better jump up, jump in, and seize the day. Making the Days Count, one day at a time making time to be present and patient.
